This role is ideal for someone with a heart for students, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Responsibilities:
  • Program Planning & Oversight: Plan and coordinate all student ministry activities, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision to disciple students and foster their spiritual growth.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Work closely with volunteer student ministry leaders to provide curriculum, resources, and support, ensuring they are equipped and prepared to teach Sunday morning groups.
  • Sunday Morning Ministry: Oversee the structure of Sunday morning student ministry, which includes an assembly time for all students followed by breakout groups (middle school boys, middle school girls, high school boys, and high school girls), led by volunteers.
  • Wednesday Evening Youth Group: Facilitate or oversee the teaching for the combined middle and high school youth group, with the option for the director or volunteers to lead.
  • Special Events:
    • Coordinate participation in an annual summer camp, collaborating with other local churches (primary planning handled by another church).
    • Organize and execute a Disciple Now (DNOW) weekend event in February or March, working alongside other local churches.
    • Develop and launch a new student ministry event in the fall to balance the annual calendar, complementing summer camp and DNOW, with a focus on engaging students and fostering discipleship.
  • Outreach & Engagement: Actively invite and welcome visiting youth into the student ministry, fostering a culture of inclusion and excitement about church life.
  • Discipleship Focus: Develop and implement strategies to equip students to grow as mature disciples of Jesus Christ, encouraging them to share their faith and bring new students into the church.
Qualifications:
  • A vibrant and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ, with a passion for discipling young people.
  • Alignment with Beulah Church’s doctrinal statement and church vision, reflecting a commitment to our theological foundation and mission.
  • Experience in student ministry, youth leadership, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage events, volunteers, and students effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, church staff, and leaders from other local churches.
  • A teachable spirit, open to growth, feedback, and guidance as part of a ministry team.
  • A heart for outreach and building relationships with students and their families.
  • Availability to work part-time hours, including Sundays, Wednesdays, and occasional weekends for special events.
Time Commitment:
  • This is a part-time position, approximately 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility based on the ministry calendar (e.g., increased hours during summer camp, DNOW, or fall event planning).
