Rehoboth Baptist Church located in Claxton Georgia is seeking resumes for a full time Minister of Students and Families. This dynamic and energetic candidate will lead our 6-12 grade students and families as well as our college ministry and families.
Position Description: Candidates must love the Lord and desire to give God the glory in all things. This position requires a leader who is doctrinally sound and wants to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This position will provide leadership, vision, and direction to all involved in Student Ministry. The Minister of Students and Families will devote time to mentoring students and volunteers, and they will be expected to lead students to the Lord in worship, spiritual growth, evangelism, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Disciple students by leading as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Plan and execute biblically accurate, culturally relevant services for the Student Ministry.
Plan and lead student retreats, mission trips, and group worship gatherings for the Student Ministry.
Recruit, equip, and develop volunteers, adult small group leaders, and student leaders.
Communicate with parents and Families.
Support students by attending school and community events when possible.
Support the programs of the church, faithfully participating in church services and encouraging students to do the same.
Provide spiritual counseling and direction to students on an individual basis.
Assist the Senior Pastor in providing pastoral care and meeting other needs of the congregation.
Skills and Expectations:
Experience in organizing multiple projects and events.
Organized and flexible.
Able to teach scripture with comfort and authority, command respect of students and manage large groups of teenagers, enforce safety and security protocols, and maintain confidentiality.
Motivated self-starter.
Energetic and creative with the ability to participate in activities.
Significant study and preparation for teaching.
Combination of office and computer tasks.
