Full-Time Pastor Position – Starr Baptist Church (Starr, SC)

Starr Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist congregation with a rich history dating back to 1832, is seeking a full-time pastor to lead our church in spiritual growth, community outreach, and biblical teaching. Located in the rural heart of Anderson County, South Carolina, our loving and friendly congregation is committed to the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000 and the inerrancy of God’s Word.

Qualifications & Expectations:

• A strong calling to pastoral ministry with a heart for preaching the inerrant Word of God.
• A ministry centered on the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and evangelism (Mark 16:15).
• The ability to provide spiritual leadership and vision for church growth.
• A passion for community outreach and engagement in a rural setting.
• A shepherd’s heart, offering pastoral care to church members of all ages.
• A degree from an accredited seminary is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Preach and teach biblically sound sermons.
• Lead and equip the congregation for discipleship and outreach.
• Provide pastoral care, including visitation, counseling, and support for members in need.
• Work with church leadership to guide the vision and direction of Starr Baptist Church.
• Engage in and encourage community involvement to further the Gospel.
