Youth Director

Requirements

1. Have a passionate personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
2. Teachable and sensitive to God’s leadership.
3. Collegiate or seminary degree preferred but willing to consider a co-vocational person with a heart for youth ministry. 
4. Experience in a successful student ministry leadership position.  
5. Called by God to serve in the youth ministry.
6. Meets the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1 and Titus 1:5-9.
7. In agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as well as Rosemont Baptist Church’s Constitution, by-laws, and vision.
8. Lead, plan, and implement Sunday mornings’ and Wednesday nights’ lessons and activities. 
9. Be the leader of the youth committee.
10. Able to communicate effectively with youth, parents, staff, and church body.   

Description

1. Oversee weekly services and ministry opportunities
2. Connect the youth to the overall life of the church and the church to the needs of the youth.
3. Actively participate in activities that provide spiritual growth and fellowship for our youth.  These can include community outreach opportunities, school activities, camps, retreats, and community services.
4. Train youth in discipleship, evangelism, and mission work.
5. Connect and partner with parents in the involvement of the overall spiritual life and growth of our youth.
6. Administer the business affairs of the youth ministry including budgets, overseeing expenditures, projecting needed purchases, and maintaining  and caring for all youth supplies and equipment.  
7. Work with pastor, staff, and leadership to promote the overall vision of the church
8. Perform duties and tasks requisitions by Senior Pastor.  
9. Develop strategies to visit middle schools and high schools in our area.
10. Oversee a plan to transition graduating high school seniors into college into college ministry.
