Part-Time Worship Director

Parkway Baptist Church is a vibrant and community-focused congregation in Evans, GA committed to uplifting worship experiences, deepening faith, and growth to be more like Jesus Christ. We seek to welcome a part-time worship director who shares our vision of fostering an inclusive and spiritually enriching environment.

The part-time worship director will play a pivotal role in leading our music and worship programs. This individual will coordinate and lead worship services that reflect the theological and cultural values of our community, while also nurturing the musical talents within our congregation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and plan weekly worship services in collaboration with the pastoral team
• Direct and rehearse with the worship team, including vocalists and instrumentalists
• Arrange music selections that complement the thematic elements of worship services
• Manage the worship team's budget and resources efficiently
• Collaborate with technical teams to manage sound and multimedia presentations
• Support in special music events such as concerts, workshops, and holiday services
• Ensure a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere in all worship activities

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates commitment to faith and a lifestyle that reflects this commitment
• Proficient in vocal and instrumental performance, with a broad knowledge of Christian worship music
• Experience in leading worship and music ministries in a church setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Availability to work Sundays and additional hours for special events and rehearsals
• Degree in music, theology, or a related field is preferred but not required
