Associate Pastor of Youth (Bi-Vocational)

Overview:

Works with the Senior Pastor, staff members, students, and parents to develop, implement and lead a ministry for middle and high school age students. Leading them to know Jesus Christ as their Lord, helping them to see the world through a Christian worldview and helping the youth to grow by personal example and discipleship.

Responsibilities:

• Direct an effective Wednesday Night Youth Worship Service
• Lead Sunday School Ministry for middle and high school aged students
• Provide training and opportunities for youth
• Plan and administer youth activities
• Promote respect for authority, for parents and each other
• Be an effectual Christian role model for students 
• Work with parents and volunteer leaders to organize and promote activities such as service projects, mission trips, retreats and conferences
• Communicate with parents, students, volunteers, and Church leaders using various methods
• Promote youth events in the community and on social media
• Works with Senior Pastor to recommend annual budget for youth activities
• May be called upon to fill in for the Pastor in his absence

• Values and actively pursues a right relationship with God, spouse, and family
• Attends worship services, youth related Church events, and bible studies
• Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor
